Welcome to Eastern Phantasia (formerly Fei-Tian). Literally "fly sky," the ensemble's namesake honors the flying apsaras that grace the walls of Dunhuang's ancient grottoes. Gowns flowing and instruments in hand, these celestial goddesses of the arts are depicted in paintings that date back thousands of years. They are the inspiration behind Eastern Phantasia's music and unique identity.

EASTERN PHANTASIA WINS GOLD AT INTERNATIONAL HUAIN CUP COMPETITION! (click to read more)

On January 26, 2013, Fei-Tian received top honors at the Huain Cup, an international competition for traditional Chinese music held in California. Many respected civic leaders attended the award ceremony, including Consul General GAO Zhansheng, Cupertino Deputy Mayor Gilbert Wong, and Union City former Mayor Mark Green. The photos below show the certificate and Fei-Tian accepting their medals and trophy with Peidong Xu, VP of the Chinese Federation of Literary and Art Circles and one of China's foremost composers and conductors. The outcome marked a great success for the ensemble's first competition.
